Busitalia Veneto customers can purchase tickets on the DropTicket App and pay by mobile phone credit or bank credit (credit cards and DropPay) for all urban and suburban public transport routes in Padua and Rovigo.
How the service works
The first thing you need to do to access the service is to download the free DropTicket® app onto your smartphone, available on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android).
The App automates the digital ticket purchasing process and validates the ticket (mandatory).
- After installing and launching the App, allow geolocation access or type “Padova” or “Rovigo” into the search bar at the top. Choose your ticket from the Quick Tickets section or view the full list by clicking on the photo banner showing the city in the carousel at the top.
- Select the desired Busitalia Veneto ticket.
- Purchase a ticket: Once the process is complete, the ticket will be displayed in the App along with its remaining validity period. Tickets are validated at the time of purchase.

| * A Family Ticket can be purchased for a family of 5 people (2 adults and 3 children under 12), and is valid for 6 hours after its validation. For the ticket to be valid, one child up to 12 years of age and at least one accompanying family member (i.e. a parent, grandparent, sibling, uncle, aunt or other family member) must always be present. Warnings
A digital ticket cannot be transferred to another user for consideration, nor may it be the subject of any brokerage. Busitalia Veneto will not replace the digital ticket if your smartphone is lost. To avoid the fines provided for under Regional Law 25 of 30 October 1998, as amended and supplemented, a digital ticket must be purchased exclusively on the DropTicket App, and shown to ticket inspectors when requested.
FAQ
- What happens if I don’t have a compatible smartphone (running Android or iOS)? Can I still use the payment service?
No. In such cases, tickets can only be purchased through the usual sales channels (ticket offices, authorised agents, ticket machines, or from the driver on board) - What is the fee charged by the mobile network operator on top of the price of the ticket purchased?
The cost of the request message is added to the ticket price. Charges vary based on your mobile network provider.
